When you use Orbit Deck, we collect minimal information necessary to deliver our aerospace data services and satellite observatory platform:

• Account Information: If you sign in via Google OAuth or Magic Link email, we store your email address, display name, and profile avatar.
• Billing Information: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Orbit Deck does not store complete credit card numbers on our servers; we only store your Stripe customer and subscription ID.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymized metrics, telemetry errors, and page performance data collected to optimize 3D WebGL rendering framerates and physics solver execution.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your personal information is used solely to authenticate your account, maintain your saved missions and custom rocket configurations, deliver Pro tier capabilities, and safeguard platform integrity. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

Orbit Deck works with third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, to serve ads on the free tier of our platform.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to Orbit Deck or other websites across the Internet.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to Orbit Deck and/or other sites on the Internet.

4. Cookies and Web Beacons

We use essential session cookies for authentication (NextAuth.js) and browser LocalStorage to cache telemetry preferences (e.g. 3D orbit trajectory display toggles, coordinate frames, and unauthenticated mission configurations).

Third-party vendors (such as Google AdSense and Vercel Analytics) may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on our site.

5. Ad-Free Subscriber Guarantee

Subscribers to the Starter, Pro Constellation, or Enterprise plans enjoy an entirely ad-free experience. When signed into an active paid account, all third-party advertising scripts and display units are completely disabled and bypassed.

6. Data Retention & Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time. Upon account deletion, all associated custom mission records and session identifiers are permanently purged from our database.
